Terminal wire inspection generally involves the following items: plugging force test, durability test, insulation resistance test, vibration test, mechanical impact test, cold and hot impact test, mixed gas corrosion test, etc.
The specific test items of terminal wire are as follows:
(1) Terminal wire plugging force test
Purpose: To verify whether the insertion and extraction force of the terminal wire meets the product specification requirements.
Principle: fully insert or pull out the terminal wire at the specified rate, and record the corresponding force value.
(2) End-line durability test
Objective: To evaluate the effect of repeated plugging on the terminal wire and simulate the plugging of the terminal wire in actual use.
Principle: continuously plug and unplug the terminal wire at the specified rate until the specified number of times is reached.
(3) Terminal wire insulation resistance test
Purpose: To verify whether the insulation performance of terminal wire meets the requirements of circuit design or whether its resistance value meets the requirements of relevant technical conditions under the environmental stress of high temperature and high humidity.
Principle: Apply voltage to the insulated part of the terminal wire to cause leakage current on the surface or inside of the insulated part.
(4) Terminal wire withstand voltage test
Purpose: To verify whether the terminal wire can work safely under rated voltage and withstand overvoltage, so as to evaluate whether the insulation material or insulation gap of the terminal wire is appropriate.
Principle: Apply the specified voltage between the contact pieces of the terminal wire and between the contact piece and the shell for a period of time, and observe whether the sample has breakdown or discharge.
(5) Terminal wire contact resistance test
Objective: To verify the resistance value generated when the current flows through the contact surface of the contact piece.
Principle: Measure the voltage drop at both ends of the terminal line by passing the specified current through the terminal line to obtain the resistance value.
(6) Terminal wire vibration test
Purpose: To verify the effect of vibration on the performance of terminal wire and its components.
Vibration type: random vibration and sinusoidal vibration.
(7) Mechanical impact test of terminal wire
Purpose: To verify the impact resistance of terminal wire and its components, or to evaluate whether its structure is firm.
Test waveform: half sine wave, square wave.
(8) Cold and hot impact test of terminal wire
Objective: To evaluate the effect of terminal wire on its functional quality under the rapid change of large temperature difference.
(9) Terminal wire temperature and humidity combined cycle test
Objective: To evaluate the effect of terminal wire stored in high temperature and humidity environment on the performance of terminal wire.
(10) Terminal wire high temperature test
Purpose: To evaluate whether the performance of terminal and insulator changes after the terminal wire is exposed to high temperature for a certain time.
(11) Terminal wire salt spray test
Objective: To evaluate the salt spray corrosion resistance of terminal wire, terminal and coating.
(12) Terminal wire mixed gas corrosion test
Objective: To evaluate the corrosion resistance of terminal wire and its effect on the performance of different concentrations of mixed gas.
(13) Terminal wire swing test
